I think this picture was taken on Monday. Reid was standing on a stool looking at Baby Layla and playing with a shaker. Today I had Layla laying on the couch and I was grabbing her bottle to feed her. She was hungry and was starting to yell. When I went back out with the bottle Reid was standing beside her using these shakers and had her calmed down and distracted. (I was only slightly concerned when I saw he was shaking them just a couple of inches above her head!) I thanked him for being such a big helper and he was grinning all over.
The boys did lots of jumping and playing on the mattress. I get a kick out of Reid because he'll bonk against the igloo and then flop straight over backwards onto the mattress and he laughs every time. Sophie had gotten slightly kicked by Elliott and she was fussing so I was laying on the mattress comforting her. Reid was standing above me on the balance beam and asked, "Want me to jump over you!?" LOL! "Nope! I sure don't!" I said, as I scrambled to my feet! :)
Here's a picture of the boys doing some painting this morning. They used their brushes and also did some finger painting as well.
The boys played with the blocks a lot this morning! They were primarily building very tall towers which I thought was threatening the lives of the babies! :) So I asked them if they wanted to build a house. Reid said, "No; a Fort!" Ha! And then Cooper said, "No; a Fort!!" So we built a fort and you can see Cooper peeking out and Reid diving over the fort walls!
I already told Lesley this story, but I want to put it in the Blog as well. Last Friday afternoon Bode was squatted on the Patio outside and doing what we called (as kids) the "duck walk." I told him, "I remember our teachers in P.E. making us do the "duck walk" the full length of the gym." Bode looked at me for a few seconds and then said, "Was that because they hadn't invented walking yet!?" LOL! Oh man, I roared! I said, "Yup! You got it!"
