Reid - 11/14/2016

Reid ate several bites of chex cereal (wanted it without milk) and three servings of mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch he ate three servings of pulled pork sandwich, two servings of tomato soup, and licked the pickled beets several times as well.  (According to him, he licked them 99 times!!  Haha!)

I was having a hard time figuring out what he was saying one time this morning.  I think it was about the toys he brought with him and that is about the only time I can not get it!!!  It's when I don't have a frame of reference and that is usually a movie, game, action figure, etc that I'm not familiar with.  I was trying and he said, "That close, but it's more."  Haha!  I thought that was such a cute way to phrase it. He actually does a great job of explaining and describing things!!  (As long as he doesn't get frustrated first.)

I also got a kick out of listening to Reid explain to Sophie his and Bode's sleeping arrangement in their bedroom with their bunk beds.  "Bode heep (sleep) on top.  I heep (sleep) on bottom."  Sophie asked, "You sleep on bottom?"  "Yes." Sophie; "Hmmm....ok."  :)

We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and as you can see in the picture below there are ice cream cones in the food toys.  Reid likes to take all the flavors off the cones and stack them together.  Then he was hiding them so he could go back to his stash later.  :)

Here's a picture of Reid after he jumped off the balance beam onto the mattress.  He was being silly with Avilene and she was loving it.  She LOVES being in the middle of all the activity.

Reid - 11/10/2016

Reid ate peanut butter and jelly toast and three big servings of blueberries for breakfast.  For lunch he ate several slices of turkey, ate two servings of dinner roll, ate two or three green beans, and three servings of strawberries.

I thought this was a cute picture of Reid playing with Avilene.  He said he was the "gate" and was blocking her access to the other side of the room.  Didn't other her a bit - she just went right over anyhow!  It'll take more than that to block Avi!!

Some of my favorite Reidisms from this morning:
"I getting a iron hoard for Christmas."  An ironing board for Christmas?  "NOOO!! Ha!  (Iron Sword)
Telling me something about a "flipee."  I don't know what that is.  He said, "Like the thing you throw and it go around and around."  (And he showed me the throwing motion.)  Ohhhh, a Frisbee!!  That  was a great explanation Reid!!

Reid was playing with the legos and the blue ones were his diamonds!  "Look at all my diamonds; Gary, look how many diamonds I have now!!"  "99 Diamonds!!"  Wow!  "Have you ever seen Minecraft?"  No.  "You have to go in cave for diamond."  Then after Kenzie and Riley got here they said Reid was buying all their "blue diamonds."  Ha!  Reid was also playing with the legos Winnie the Pooh and he had two of them fighting!  Ha!  (Winnie the Pooh Fighters!  Cracked me up!)  Then he told me they were "fighting for the honey!"  :)  Makes perfect sense!

Reid - 11/8/2016

Reid ate two servings of bagel and ate a few apricots for breakfast.  For lunch he ate chicken, lots of whole wheat elbow noodles, a few bites of peas, and a lot of applesauce.  He knows I want him to at least try foods that he may not care for.  So he makes sure I'm watching before he'll take a bite.  "I'm gonna eat some peas Gary!"  He doesn't want to "waste" the effort!!  Ha!  Makes good sense to me!!

Reid was standing on a toy shelf and stepping down, except Hudson was directly below him and I cautioned him to be careful.  When he was stepping down he yelled at Hudson: "Look out Bubba cause Hanta is coming to town!!"  (Santa)  LOL!  Cracked me up!  It wasn't just the words, but the tone he used was hilarious too!

Hudson really likes Reid and Reid is a good friend to him as well.  Reid wanted Hudson to take his socks off and I managed to get a picture of the end of the project.  Reid was saying, "Pull harder Bubba!  Pull harder!!"  Haha!!

I took this next picture when Reid was combing Hudson's hair.  But it actually started with Hudson combing Reid's hair and Reid was content to let him do it.  Then they were taking turns combing each other's hair.
