Reid ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate a bite of tilapia, LOTS of whole wheat elbow noodles, 5 green beans (with halt on them), and LOTS of applesauce.
A note from yesterday afternoon: Avilene had finished her snack and was one of the first ones done. She headed right across the Play room for Reid's special blanket. Ha! Kenzie spotted her and told Reid (who was still eating) that "Avi took your big blanket!" Reid said, "I'll handle it." Haha!
This first picture is also from yesterday afternoon. We were able to play outside for quite awhile. When I took this picture Reid was pestering me to go back inside! I told him "no, you just want to go vegetate in your chair." He got a silly grin on his face and said he wanted to go play. Ha!!
Lauralea had some time to hang out with the kids and read to them. As soon as she was done and left for work the kids were immediately asking, "read read read." (Primarily Sophie and Hudson) Just like they hadn't read for a long time!! Ha! Which is awesome! LOVE reading to them!!
Reid, Sophie, Hudson, and Avi were jumping on the mattress "showing - off" for Lauralea. Sophie said she was doing somersaults so Reid started bragging about his ability to preform amazing somersaults! "I did a hummer halt in the air!!" Whoa! Sophie was going off the blue balance beam "head-first" and it was cringeworthy!! Landing on her head! Yikes!! So I told her to jump, land on her feet, and then do her somersault. And she totally got what I meant and did it that way! Good job Sophie!

Reid - 3/30/2017
Reid ate peaches for breakfast and no whole wheat bagel. For lunch he ate homemade pizza - boughten crust so I guess that's not entirely accurate - with hamburger, sausage, red peppers, olives, pineapple, and tomato sauce. And he ate a bowl of pineapple on the side.
I was trying to get a picture of Reid in "his" chair, but he kept turning away so I had to resort to trickery!! Ha! And he had his head covered up with the blanket. I was standing behind him with the camera focused on the mirror and told him to look at the Captain America tattoo on my chest. Ha! He whipped the blanket off his head and I got the picture! Gotcha Reid! Not lying! Just good old fashioned trickery!! :)
Reid called Bubba, "Bode." Hudson loves Bode (because Bode is so kind and attentive to him) and started chanting, "Bode Bode Bode." Reid said, "Bode not here." So I told Reid that Hudson loves Bode. Reid said, "No he doesn't. Him and Bode steal toys from everyone!!" Ha! What does that have to do with Bubba loving Bode!? The logic of children! Actually, just previous to this happening Bubba had been taking a book from Avilene so that incident was probably part of why Reid said what he did.
I asked Reid what he did last night and Reid said, "Same thing I did the other night!! Mostly Marvel Battle Ground! I win 400 challenges!" And of course he waxed eloquently on the exploits of his masterful game playing! I basically heard something about "Hulk, purple pants, and hair lip." "What!?!" I asked. He said, "Oh just forget about it!!" Well now I can't! How can I do that? He said, "In your head." :)

Reid - 3/29/2017
Reid ate two large servings of breakfast: whole wheat toast and grapes. He wasn't as enthusiastic for Lunch: bite of pork roast, ate biscuit, no vegetable mix (carrots, potatoes, brussel sprouts), and ate some of fruit salad. At the breakfast table Baby Nora was being fussy and Reid said, "We need her to go to bed." Ha!
Reid went to the bathroom and was gone for several minutes taking care of business and when he returned he accusingly looked at everyone and inquired of the young group: "Did anyone barf in my chair!?!" Haha! The voice of an experienced Daycare attendee!!
My Nephew Steve slept here last night and the Kids saw him for just a few minutes this morning. Earlier, I had told them he was here. Sophie asked, "My Steve!?!" (She has a Grandpa named Steve.) Reid said, "It someone else's Steve!" Haha!! (I liked the "it" part!)
Reid was regaling me with some X-box tales and like usual I have no idea what he was talking about, but here are a couple of highlights as I understood them: "We got 2.0, but it don't work on 3.0. But the character does. And just so you know Hulk can climb walls!!" Oh, ok. I think. He continued with many more insights, but I can't remember it all! So I told him "I personally like to hike a 4.0!!" He just rolled his eyes! Ha!

Reid - 3/28/2017
Reid came in chipper and happy appearing to be wide awake! Maybe not! He was asleep by 8:50 and slept until 11:00! What a goof. He didn't want to try any of the chicken stir fry with lots of good vegetables or any brown rice for Lunch. He ate his oranges.
I've already told Mommy Lesley and Daddy TJ this, but I'll post it anyhow in case any of the rest of the family reads today's Blog. TJ went camping yesterday and in the afternoon Reid told me "My Mom gonna pick me up. My Dad gonna be on that mountain for 30 days!!" Cracked me up. (I told Lauralea I had this strange urge to start building a golden calf.)
Here's a picture from yesterday afternoon when Bode walked here with Kenzie and Riley. (Baby Nora was sleeping.) The Daycare kids were thrilled because they hadn't seen any of them for over a week because of Spring Break! (Reid is on his knees in case you think he shrunk or the others grew quickly!!)

Reid - 3/27/2017
Reid ate bananas for breakfast. He didn't want any cheerios. He said, "It give me rotten egg burps!" Later at breakfast he said, "Gary, would't it be weird if I could throw this (piece of banana) up in the air and catch it in my mouth." Yes, that would be weird. He said, "Tate and my Dad do it perfectly. I can't do it perfectly!" LOL! It takes time Reid. Be patient and someday you too will be a man!! :) And we men are amazing at doing childish things!! :) For lunch he ate a bite of taco salad (with hamburger, lettuce, spinach, tomato, olives - ate his avocados separately), bite of pita bread, and ate lots of cantaloupe.
This first picture is from last Friday, but I'm posting it because it was so cute and funny. Reid was wearing his Crocs and he was flipping his Croc high in the air (with his leg) and it would go sailing. Then he'd stand there waiting for Avi to retrieve it and they'd do it again. :)
Reid had momentarily abandoned his chair and Avi took advantage. Reid told me this was his mad face. :) Avi knew he wanted up there and boy was she ever up for the challenge!! Ha!! She stayed there for probably 20 minutes or more!! Never moved until Lunch time! It was nice to have him awake and actually playing this morning!! Ha!
A couple stories from this morning: During Story Time Reid was telling me a story that kind of went like this; "The day after this day...we went to people house and they have puppies like I wanted for 30 years!" It was a longer story, but when I started asking questions for clarification he said, "Let's go back to the Story." (Me reading the book. Ha!) Then he was telling me about his new soccer ball. "Soccer ball glow in the dark." Really? "No, just kidding. Everyone who made it just kidding." Hahaha! (Well that would be called false advertising. Ha!)

Reid - 3/24/2017
Reid slept until Lunch again. He had a taste of salmon, bite of dinner roll, ate whole wheat elbow noodles with applesauce (leftover from Wednesday), ate corn on the cob, mangoes, and after that he finished his bowl of oatmeal. That was a lot of food!! He told me; "That oatmeal I eat only have 1 gram of sugar and 100 gram of protein!" Awesome! :) I decided I better post a picture of him eating in case you think he does nothing but sleep here!! :)
Yesterday afternoon when we were outside Reid was jumping from the climber to the ground and then he asked me; "Hey Gary! Are your shoes good for jumping!?" LOL!! Well Reid, when it comes to jumping, shoes are the least of my concern! I am totally intent to NEVER jump again in my life unless it's a necessary emergency!! Ha! It pains me just to watch you hit that ground Reido!!
We were talking about the Oregon trip and I asked him about the other family that went. He informed me that "they in their own car." So I asked him how many kids they have. He said, "Mostly only 2." Haha! "One 19, other 18." :)
Remember several weeks ago - actually 2 or more months probably - Reid said he could "run faster than a cheetah!" Apparently that made an impression on Sophie. While he was in Oregon this week we were reading a book with a cheetah in it. Sophie said, "Reido run faster than a cheetah!" LOL!!
These 2 pictures may look strangely familiar!! Ha! Avi was rocking Reid's chair from the back side and then later from the front! And he never even twitched any of the times she was rocking it - which happens to be one of her favorite activities!!

Reid - 3/23/2017
The Blog today will be brief! The picture below depicts what Reid looked like all morning. :) Those Spring Break Vacations are hard on a young fella!! Ha! He slept for almost 3 hours and woke up in time for lunch. Reid ate bites of baked chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, taste of cabbage, ate corn on the cob, and ate baked apples with cinnamon.
I asked Reid, "What was the most favorite part of the vacation for you?" The first thing he said; "NOT going home." Haha! Then he talked about the "stops for gas, food purchased, and Star Wars" purchased. :) I think it's so funny when he tells me how many hours of driving, how many nights in a motel, how much the motel cost, etc...

Reid - 3/17/2017
Reid ate oatmeal and two servings of baked apples (with sugar and cinnamon) for breakfast. For lunch he ate apricots and I'm not sure if he ate anything else. His plate looked pretty untouched except for the apricots! I was quite busy feeding the little ones and he was done very quickly!! Roast beef, dinner roll, vegetables (potatoes, carrots, brussel sprouts), and apricots.
This first picture is from yesterday afternoon. Kenzie, Riley, and Sophie were in the igloo with Riley's Tablet. Reid had just finished Snack and was wondering what they were doing! They had the opening of the igloo facing the wall and positioned close to the wall. So I told him I'd teach him an important Life Skill and I went and got a mirror. He quickly learned how to use it. You're welcome! I'm just trying to help out!! :)
Kenzie was here all morning and then the Cline Family left for the Farm where the Kids will spend their Spring Break. She and Reid were giving each other "horsey rides" and working VERY hard at it. The person on the bottom was moving slowly and deliberately!! Hudson wanted a ride of course and got on Kenzie's back. Then he got on Reid's back. Well Reid wasn't nearly as careful as Kenzie and Hudson did NOT complete the 8 second ride! Ha! (I actually got a picture of it, but it looked pretty bad! Reid immediately gave him loves and Hudson didn't even cry. I still decided it wasn't a good picture to post!!) And he never asked to get back on either!! :)
Reid and Kenzie were jumping on the mattress and talking about "butt bombs." (Landing on their butts in case anyone is not familiar with that technical gymnastics term!!) Sophie wanted to be part of the "butt bomb" conversation and interjected this piece: "When I was a big kid I was jumping on my butt." Haha! Reid said, "You never were a big kid." I love how quickly Kenzie will defend the little ones!! She immediately said; "She's a big kid now!"

Reid - 3/16/2017
Reid was trying hard to go to sleep in the chair this morning, but he never did accomplish that! However, he ignored my several calls for breakfast! For lunch he ate pulled pork sandwich, drank tomato soup, and ate many servings of cantaloupe.
As you already know the school kids got out at 11:00 today to start their Spring Break. So right after Sophie arrived from her Thursday Music class, Riley arrived! And this (picture) is what that looked like until Lunch at 11:30. Sophie had asked me what we were having for Lunch and I gave the Standard Answer of "Food!" Reid said, "Gooder than you can imagine Hofie!!" :) (I believe the cantaloupe is probably what Reid was making reference to!)
Reid was grabbing Hudson and said, "I just trying to give you a hug Hudson." Hudson wasn't convinced and kept trying to scramble away! Then a short time later Hudson was walking around saying, "I poopy, I poopy, I poopy." (Except he wasn't) Reid got down on his level and said, "I'm not responsible for that! You are!" Goofy Reid.
We were reading a Dr. Seuss book and it talked about "what do you want to be?" Reid said, "I wanna be a wrestler." Then after reconsidering that answer he said, "I want to be a You-Tuber!" Haha! So I told him when I grow up I wanna be a Facebooker." He said, "You're already 900 year old!" LOL!
I told you in an earlier Blog about Reid moaning about the upcoming Road Trip. Here is some more of that conversation! He said, "Cars are HO FLOW!!" (So slow!!) :) Kenzie said, "Not Dad's car!!" Hahahaha! Thought I'd better report that to the local Patrol!! :) Reid apparently wasn't convinced and said, "I just want an airplane!"

Reid - 3/13/2017
I took this first picture on Friday after Reid and I put the new chair together. Reid is pretty certain this is his personal chair!! Ha! I would have to agree if occupancy determines ownership; he's definitely in it more than anyone!! He "broke it in" this morning in spectacular fashion!! A nap for 2 hours and 30 minutes. He awoke and asked me how many minutes he slept and when I said, "150 Minutes" his eyes got big! Ha! 8:45 - 11:15. Also after he awoke he was talking about the Family Trip - the good and the bad. The good; "We're going there with some food." Ha! He said, "I picked out a few things." The bad; "I really want to take airplane; they're much faster." So I told him I think road trips are fun. He said, "They are boring!" Ha!
For Lunch Reid ate a couple bites of chicken salad (with, cucumbers, peppers, olives, no tomatoes, no avocados...He asked, "what the heck is that!?!"...no mushrooms.), couple bites of pita bread, and lots of pears. He asked for more pears; "Can I have another can of pears?" Haha! Yes. Avilene was getting full and didn't want any more pears and Reid informed her; "Pears are good for you Avi!" (As his chicken salad was blatantly being ignored!! Ha!) So I said his salad was good for him and he said, "Pears are gooder!" :)
Bode stayed at the Daycare for maybe 15 minutes this morning before he had to leave for School. (Much to Hudson's delight!) Bode was putting blocks on the igloo for Hudson to knock them off. Then Hudson asked Bode; "Take shoes off, take shoes off?" (See the pictures below) And he's more than happy to help Bubba. I love how Bode likes to engage with the youngest kids in the Daycare. He's a very sweet boy. Bubba adores him and he's a great role model for Hudson!!

Reid - 3/10/2017
Reid had bites of breakfast: Malt-o-meal cereal and dried plums. For lunch he had a bit of everything although he wasn't too sure about it all: "baked kabobs" (hamburger instead of steak, peppers, mushrooms, pineapple), brown rice, and crushed pineapple. So far he's not too thrilled with the look of the new menus. :)
Lauralea was here until 10:00 this morning and Reid was wanting her to notice him! Finally he said, "I'll bet you didn't see me come in!" Ha! It was pretty cute. So he went out to the kitchen where she was at and then was asking her questions; "Lauralea, I have a question for you. Where'd you get that picture?" He walked around the Living room, pointing at every picture asking the same question.
These first 3 pictures were taken yesterday afternoon when Bode was here. It was pretty funny because Reid just kept sinking lower and lower. He finally needed help to get out of there. He butt kept sinking and sinking. Ha! So Kenzie tugged on him, but that didn't accomplish anything, So in the 3rd picture Bode pulled him out and Kenzie tipped up their block structure. Everyone was getting a big laugh out of this.
Reid was laying on the floor rocking the chair with his feet. Hudson walked around behind it and of course it bonked him on the head. When Hudson started crying, Reid said, "Come here Bubba." And gave him a nice love. Well of course Bubba was enjoying the snuggle and Reid said, "Ok Bubba, can you now get off!?" Ha! Then Reid was giving Hudson some "cough covering" instructions. (Hudson coughed steady all morning!) He showed Hudson how to cough into his elbow; "Like this Bubba." Reid faked a cough and then started actually coughing. He said, "I actually needed that one to come out!" Haha!

Reid - 3/9/2017
Reid looked at the omelet waffle and said, "It smell horrible!" (Hmmm...heard that before! Ha!) Bring on the blueberries!! Two large servings of those. For lunch something new AGAIN!! Ha! He looked at the Shepard's Pie (meat, potatoes, corn, peas) and said, "I know you said this is REALLY good, but it look crazy to me!" Ha! Well at least it apparently didn't smell horrible! He ate several bites of it and liked it. I told him I was proud of him for trying something new. He had bites of pita bread and ate lots of banana. We did have interesting conversation at Lunch - he was asking questions about numbers. (One of my favorite subjects! Sudoku anyone!?!) "What 2 and 2? what 5 and 5 and 5 and 5, what 20 and 8, what 8 and 8 and 14, what 2 and 2 and 1?" Good stuff and he was getting a kick out of my explanations and answers. Reid and Gary = 2. Then Riley and Kenzie come = 4. Bode come too = 5.
He didn't eat much for breakfast, except blueberries, so he was moaning LOUDLY by 10:00! "When can we have lunch!?!" "I'm VERY hungry!! I can't live!!" Wow! You are famished! And on and on it went. So I told him we'd eat in 1 hour and 15 minutes. So he was watching the clock and by 10:50 he was sound asleep! He slept for almost 2 hours and was ready for lunch! :) Also at the lunch table he said, "I wish I had more money than all the world; even you!" LOL!! Boy, you're shooting for the stars Buddy if you want my wealth!! So what would you do with that much money - I already knew where this conversation was going!! :) He started a lengthy story about Xbox and Infinity Game and basically all I heard was something about "version 3.0, Captain America, and Marvel Battleground!!" I said, "Is that all you do - play Xbox?" He said, "No, sometime Tate take control of it so I watch videos on Mom's Tablet!" Oh! LOL! Well thank goodness for variety!
More tidbits of conversation this morning. What'd you do last night Reid? "You don't want to know." Yes I do. That's why I asked you. "You really don't want to know." Yes I do. So he demonstrated how he magnificently body slammed Bode and took total control of the match! Ha! I also told him I saw a picture on Facebook of him eating a cookie. He said, "It was mostly good - even the 1st bite." Yes, sometimes those 1st bites are awful! :)

Reid ate most of a breakfast combo: scrambled eggs, sausage, and hash browns. For lunch he ate some of everything except the vegetables: pork chop, three servings of whole wheat english muffin, no vegetable mix, and two servings of applesauce. The vegetable mix was "roasted root vegetables." Baby red potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, and Brussel sprouts. Yes, I know brussel sprouts grow above ground, but 3 out of 4 is not bad! :) Reid looked at the roasted vegetables and disgustingly said, "That smell HORRIBLE!!" LOL!!
Reid was happy at the beginning of breakfast, but in the middle of it he burst into tears and headed for his chair. What was that about!?! I figured it out. It's hard to understand what he says when he's not crying!! :) Yesterday before he left he unfortunately saw some cinnamon rolls that we were having for snack. He asked and I told him they were for snack. (We were actually substituting them to get rid of them. As we're moving to more healthier meals - and minimal sugar. The Food Program will no longer allow me to serve them later this year.) He finally said, "I wanted those cinnamon rolls that were for snack yesterday." I felt bad for him. But, he recovered and he ate 3 of whole wheat english muffin at lunch - warm because I was toasting them as he asked for more - and then putting butter on them. He said, "Kind of like the cinnamon rolls, but not the same butter." (Frosting) He said, "They make my hands warm." Also at lunch I had to change Nora's poopy diaper and when I came back inside Reid had rearranged the highchairs like you see in the first picture. Ha! He proudly said, "I did that!" :) And the 2nd picture is also from Lunch Time. He was helping keep Baby Nora happy while we finished up Lunch.
We read some books and had Art Time, but Reid wasn't interested in doing any Art. After we read some books he said, "That boring sauce!!" Haha! Recently all he wants to talk about is his Xbox games and I know nothing about those. He really wants me to watch him play it so I'll have to come over and watch him sometime soon. He went into a long lengthy story, but all I understood was his "superior skills at the game" and something about "marvel battle ground." Ha! He also has been pestering me to finish putting together "his chair." He mentioned it to Daddy TJ this morning as well.

Reid - 3/6/2017
Reid ate several bites of corn chex cereal and three servings of peaches for breakfast. He left at 10:30 and I usually don't do a Blog when he's here for that short of a time, but there are a couple of cute things I wanted to tell you about! He was moaning before breakfast about how he was on the verge of starving to death! "You don't know how hungry how I am!! I'm 100% hungry!!" I guess that's the maximum level of being hungry!! Ha!
When Momma Molly was saying "bye" to Avilene today Reid got out of his chair, went over to where she was standing and gave her the sweetest (unsolicited) hug goodbye. That surprised Molly and it certainly surprised me!!! I want to tell you I don't remember ever seeing him do that before!! He's a very sweet, loving and affectionate boy, but I've never seen him give one of the other parent's a hug like that! That was precious and very sweet Reid!
After Bode was gone to school this morning Hudson started saying his name again; "Bode, Bode, Bode...." (He adores Bode and loves saying his name too.) Reid said, "Bode gone. Bubba didn't know Bode gone!" :) Then shortly after Reid left Hudson was talking on one of the play phones. Who are you talking to Hudson? "Reid." Isn't that cute?
Hudson saw I'd put a different chew toy on Nora's saucer. He said, "chewy, chewy, chewy..." Reid said, "Chewy in the movie of Star Wars!" LOL!

Reid - 3/3/2017
The pictures below depict what Reid's morning looked like!! Again! At least he woke up in time for Lunch. He slept from 8:30 - 11:00. For lunch he ate a bite of tilapia, lots of whole wheat elbow noodles, maybe a green bean or two, and ate lots of applesauce. He had a spoonful of noodles and when he sneezed the noodles went flying. I, of course, started laughing because it hit my funny bone. Reid (not laughing) said, "Well that was funny, but can you get this white stuff off my plate." (pointing at the remaining tilapia) "It kinda creep me out." And that made me laugh more! Haha!
I'm posting 2 pictures of him sleeping for a reason! Notice he's turned around in the chair in the 2nd picture. That represents ALL the movement I saw out of him this morning! :)
I have a note from the last time he was here. He was watching the second hand move around and around on the clock and he started saying; "Now it 4 o'clock, now it 8 o'clock, now it 10 o'clock."
