Reid - 7/31/2015

Reid ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch he ate ground beef, three servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate most of peas, and three servings of applesauce.  After tucking Cooper in for his nap I headed back to the lunch room and saw Reid reaching across the table finishing off Cooper's leftovers!!  Ha ha!  And that was after having three servings of noodles and applesauce!  And these are NOT Toddler sized servings!  Then when Reid was washing after lunch he pointed at the faucet and asked, "Where'd this come from?"  I said, "Costco - I love Costco."  He said, "Me buy food at that!"  Ha ha!  I said, "So it's safe to assume you probably love Costco as well!!"  Hee hee!

Reid was so cute on the way to go potty before nap.  He got to the back room and waved at Layla.  Of course she was asleep, but it was still very sweet!  :)

I took this picture at Art Time when Cooper was giving Reid some pointers on the fine intricacies of painting with a golf ball.  :)  (You can see the ball in the pan.)  Notice that Cooper is gesturing with his hand.  They also played with tractors, built with the legos, stacked some cups, jumped on the mattress, and outside they were watching the reflection of the crystal on the wall.  Cooper called it, "Rainbow crystals."

We were having a conversation about food and Cooper is very intrigued about Reid's milk.  He knows it's not from a cow.  So he was asking Reid about chocolate milk and strawberry milk.  So I asked about their favorite "meat."  Cooper said, "Dinosaur meat!"  LOL

Reid - 7/30/2015

Reid arrived around 10:00, so I'll do a short Blog the time he played before Lunch.  For lunch he ate two servings of turkey slices, ate whole wheat hamburger bun, several green beans, and two servings of strawberries.  I talked him into having a nibble of green bean and he ended up eating a few of  them.  Also at lunch he was soaking up juice from his strawberries with his hamburger bun and then eating the bun.  Ha!  And Cooper was mimicking that!!

I was trying to burp Baby Layla after feeding her; "Come on....burp Baby."  So Reid does a big burp "BURRRRRP....Like this!!"  That you for the help Reid!  :)  Then when we were outside he randomly said, "I only kick left-footed!"  He obviously has been listening!!  :)

These two boys did the exact same thing this morning as the last time they got together, just with a different topic.  I'll explain.  Their first conversation was about establishing the "Pecking Order!"  with some "one-upmanship!"  (I can't think of any other way to describe it!)  Today's conversation was about the size of their tractors at home; "My tractor is this big!" or "I've got a big bulldozer at home!!"  With their arms spread as wide as they can hold them!  Last time the conversation was about the size of the airplanes they rode on!! That lasted for probably 10 minutes and then they were ready to start playing!  (I think this is a male trait that pretty much lasts a life-time!!)  :)

I had told Cooper at breakfast that Reid was coming and he kept asking when, so I pointed at the clock and said "when that hand gets up there!"  A few minutes later he said, "That blue hand is NOT moving!"  :)  Nice observation Cooper!  Then just randomly he said, "I'm tougher than Reid!"  (Hee hee - another one of those everlasting male traits!!)  :)

I put the ramps on the bench and the boys had fun for a long time with Cooper's tractors. They were also running the dump trucks down the ramps (after loading them with all the tractors).

Reid - 7/17/2015

Reid ate oatmeal for breakfast.  No canned prunes - "I don't like those."  For lunch he ate about half of hash brown casserole, ate biscuit, and two servings of mandarin oranges.  At breakfast Reid got some soap in his hand and held it out for Cooper to see and asked, "Is this enough Coop?!"  Ha ha!  I happened to be standing right beside him, but he bypassed me and got the opinion of a professional.  (I guess he failed to notice that EVERY meal Cooper still asks me; "Is this enough?")  :)

Cooper started quizzing Reid at breakfast about what kind of foods he likes.  Cooper was asking the questions and Reid was busy eating and giving answers.  Ha!  It went like this; "Do you like green apples?"  Yes  "Do you like Mac-n-cheese?"  Reid actually talked about not being able to eat cheese (except goat cheese), but Cooper was concentrating on what kinds of food to ask about next and missed the answer!  Ha ha!  "Pineapple....tomatoes...onions...syrup (Ha!) ...grapes....what else (he asked himself)....carrots (good for a bunny, he said)....we don't like broccoli!"  Reid had to respond to that one!  "Me like broccoli!"  Cooper said, "No I don't!"  Reid said, "No, Me do!!"  Conversations of 2 year olds at breakfast table!!  Love it.

The boys spent LOTS of time building this morning!  And they really didn't want to go outside when I suggested it!  So we spent more time inside, but eventually went outside about 10:30.  It started with the long legos towers you see in the picture below.  They were building it tall and then intentionally crashing it and everyone, including Elliott, would roar with laughter.

Cooper was enjoying having Reid back today.  They built sidewalks with the big legos blocks and were finding all kinds of games to go with it.

Then Reid and Cooper built this row of blocks and stacked them on edge.  I helped do the last piece to get it kind of tight because they wanted to walk on them.  After I'd already taken some pictures Reid built a tower and said, "Hey Gary...take picture for Momma of my tower."
