Reid - 5/13/2015

Reid ate whole wheat toast and mixed berries for breakfast.  For lunch he ate ham, crackers, a bite of bean & bacon soup, and ate strawberries.  Reid came in with an umbrella at breakfast time and Cooper started announcing (loudly) that he too had an umbrella at home!  So they proceeded to have a conversation about umbrellas and the necessity of owning one!  :)

Listening to their conversations is one of the funnest parts of my work!  Super entertaining!  Cooper was leaning his forehead against the window and said, "I have cold window on my forehead!"  Then we were doing some sign language this morning and I did the sign for "Yes."  Cooper said, "Yes!" And Reid said, "Knock on door of the house!"  Which is exactly what it looks like!  You also get a passing grade Reid!!

I took this picture yesterday afternoon, but I liked the precarious engineering feat of the two year olds.  :)  Notice the four small blocks in the middle and then the whole structure is off-set.  Reid is trying to off-set the other direction on the top yellow blocks.  Well, actually that was as far as he could reach!  Ha ha!

I love these building blocks (actually more like legos).  The kids never get tired of them and they are easy to maneuver.  Even for the younger kids like Elliott.  And we've tried many different styles of blocks over the years!!  This was the boys "sidewalk" they built.  Cooper recognized the "L" shape of the sidewalk and said, "L for Lauralea!!"  (We've obviously practiced everyone's "letter.")

The boys did lots of jumping and more jumping.  Cooper asked for the Panda Bear and they had a blast with the bears.  At least it was all going grand until Cooper ended up on the mattress with the Panda Bear on top of him and Reid on top of the Panda Bear.  All I could see of Cooper was his twitching feet sticking out!  Yikes!  But he went right back to jumping after some loves.  (And me convincing him that Reid meant him no harm!  Not sure he was convinced!)  Cooper was counting random numbers getting ready to jump and said, "Fourteen!"  Reid said, "Five-teen!"  Then Cooper yelled, "Templeton!  Blast Off!!"   By Story Time both boys were sweating profusely!!  :)
