Reid - 2/2/2017

Reid was snoozing before breakfast again.  At least he sure appeared to be asleep; for probably 20 minutes.  (See picture below!)  He woke up, came out to the lunch room where we were eating, took a long look at the food (flat bread and tropical fruit which he normally likes), never said anything, just shook his head and went back to the chair!  Are you SURE you don't want to eat?!?  (And I offered breakfast two more times.)  "Yup!"  By Lunch time he was convinced he was on the verge of starving to death and was the first one in the Lunch Room and sitting at the table!  He thought Avilene was slowing down the progress of getting his food at Lunch and told her, "Stop banging that gate and get in here!!"  Ha!!  For lunch he ate turkey slices, bites of dinner roll, green beans, and three servings of mangoes.  I gave him five green beans and he asked me to "put some halt on it!"  He ate the five and asked, "More green beans with more halt."  I just about fell off the chair!!  That was definitely a FIRST!  What is halt you ask!?  Clue: "We (Christians) are to be the halt of the earth!!" :)  I know that you already knew the answer to "halt," but I couldn't help myself!  :)

I took this first picture before breakfast when Reid had actually gone to sleep.  Hudson and Avilene LOVE to rock this chair and they started rocking after Reid had been there for 15 minutes.  I found it quite entertaining!!  And Reid didn't seem to care at all!  I finally distracted them in a different direction.  I thought it might be better if Reid woke up in a less disruptive manner!  Ha!

Reid told me this morning that "Mom told me Dad gonna work four weeks - Mom gonna pick me up!"  Later he changed his story to four nights!  I thought that was pretty good!!

Reid asked if he could go get the Big Bears and dragged them down the hall.  He came out and said, "I need energy."  Did you say you need energy!?!  He said, "Well I out energy when get the Big Bears out!"    That was a good job of expressing himself!  Also, when he went potty he got into the bathroom closet and got his "replacement blanket" when he forgets "Blue Blanket."  (He knows where we store the other one and frequently asks for it anyhow!)  He was totally covered with it and said, "I'm under this massive blanket!"  Ha!  It's kind of big, but I've never considered it "massive!!"
