Reid ate biscuit and two servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate baked beans, dinner roll, peas, and two large servings of crushed pineapple. I'd switched up cups for him and Sophie. The cups are identical except I have their initials on the lids. I asked him what the "T" stood for. He said, "Tate." True, but what's your last name? He immediately got that right and then said, "Reid....read the book; you gotta read the book!" Ha!
Sophie was asking Reid to come read with her. "Reido! read with me!" (repeat 3 or 4 times) "I like this one," she said. Reid asked, "Is that a counting book too!?" "Yes." When I took the picture she was counting apples in the tree. Reid is really into counting everything right now and Sophie has started doing it too.
"That's my letter. That's my letter." They learn the first letter of their name and that becomes "their" letter! It won't be long before Hudson will be identifying his letter - or letters! Sophie wanted to know the letter for "Bubba" too. You can see Reid is watching to help out when needed. Reid and Sophie like it because their letters are beside each other. With this alphabet poster they frequently start by identifying the animal associated with their letter. Sophie was doing all of her family, plus Gary, Reid, and Avi. She included "Baby Nora" with "Sister Nora." That's how she identifies them and keeps them separate for us.
The first thing Reid told Hudson this morning; "Bubba! Hofie is your Mom!!" Let's get this straight! I'm not your Mom!! Cracked me up. Hudson just says "Mom" all the time, but Reid thinks he's calling him Mom. We also did some coloring, sang songs, and did some sign language. Reid was into playing some game where he was punching the stuffed animals. I asked him what he was doing and he said,"Punch grenades!" :)
