Reid ate a big bowl of oatmeal and two servings of cranberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef, large bowl of whole wheat elbow noodles, half of peas, and three servings of applesauce. He spotted Lauralea eating her breakfast first thing this morning and said, "Oh no! Did I miss breakfast?!?" Hahaha! We roared! Lauralea asked him if he liked oatmeal and he said, "Yah, with those!!" He was pointing at the dried cranberries. She asked him if he liked craisins. He said, "Yah! We don't have them at home!!" :)
He was at the window waving at Lesley when she drove by. He said, "I blow her a hug!" I thought that was so sweet! I've never heard a kid say that before. He thought about it for a minute and added; "When I was doing that her staring at me happy!" You are very sweet Reid.
Here's a picture of Reid at Art Time. I got out all the big stamping supplies and he had lots of fun with it. He listened to my instructions well and followed what I asked him to do. Nice job Reid. There were several things - one of them was to set the "wet" stamps on the floor with the wet side pointing up after he was done with each one. I was kind of busy feeding babies and so he did several minutes with no supervision. I asked him if he remembered to set them with the wet side up. He said, "I never forget!" Ha! Ok good, but I'm still going to remind you. :)
We read lots of books and there is a great illustrated story by Dr. Seuss called "Wacky Wednesday." It's a favorite and all the kids love that one. It's interactive and they get to spot all the "wacky" things on each page and it tells you how many to look for. Lately, Reid has been wanting to "count" everything. And he does great one-to-one correspondence counting. You can teach a child to "count" to ten when they learn to talk. But actual "counting" is obviously something completely different and he is doing great with that!
