Reid - 6/13/2016

Reid ate raisin bran cereal and three servings of dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch he ate two servings of homemade canadian & sausage pizza (no cheese), ate two servings of corn, and two servings of tropical fruit.  I asked them what they'd done this past weekend.  No one could remember anything, so I just started being silly and asking Reid things like, "Chasing squirrels!? "Nope."  Penguins?  "Nope. They live on the ice."  Cooper jumps in with; "Did you chase Dinosaurs?!?"  Reid said, "Nope!  They can take you down!"  :)

Also at lunch - When Hudson was almost done he started howling about something for a couple of minutes - it sounded like a cry of pain.  All I could think of was biting his tongue - even with minimal amount of teeth!!  Reid (sitting at the table a few feet away) immediately said,  "I didn't do nothing!"  Haha!  So, if you did not do nothing, does that mean you did "something?"  :)

The big boys were trying to show-off for the little ones again.  Reid started it by saying, "Hey Bubba! Watch this!!  I'm gonna land on my face!"  So then Cooper started saying it as well and to Sophie too. (You can see Cooper's orange shorts in the picture.)  As you can also tell by the picture, Bubba and Sophie were super impressed, right!?  :)

Cooper and Reid had a fun morning.  They played with the babies, but when they got tired of that they played with the Star Wars cars and people.  I heard Cooper say, "That Tate is getting SSOOOO big! He's almost bigger than a giant!"  Ha!  They also used the big pieces of red and green legos to play "red light, green light."  That was on their own initiative and they kind of made up some rules as they went along!  My favorite was when Reid said, "Red light AND green light" and held up both colors!  Ha!  I guess it's your choice!!

We did some dot painting at art time.  Reid almost always gets excited for art time.  Cooper worked on his for quite a while, but eventually became more interested in making shapes with the paint containers.  (Again)  He said, "I made a trapezoid!"  And it was a trapezoid.  Then he said, "I made a triangle."  Yup you did that that too! And Reid just kept on working on his painting.  (Which he labeled "the tunnel.")

Reid - 6/7/2016

Reid ate two large servings of waffles and ate half of hash browns for breakfast.  For lunch he ate bite of chicken, ate toast, half of carrots, and ate mandarin oranges.  Before breakfast and before Reid arrived I told Cooper that Reid was scheduled to come to Daycare today.  He immediately asked, "Are we having elbow noodles?  Reid LOVES elbow noodles!"  So cute.

Cooper brought his Star Wars encyclopedia and the boys were looking at it most of the morning, except for breakfast and outside time.  They didn't play with the Star Wars toys, just studying the characters in the book.

We played outside this morning instead of waiting until it gets too hot in the afternoon.  (Then it rained just after we went inside so that worked out well!)  The boys were being silly outside and trying to "balance."  The first picture Reid said, "I'm balanced on my nard!!"  LOL, Ok, no additional comment needed for that one!!  Then Cooper said, "I can balance on one foot!"  And he did for a long time, quite easily.  The boys also played on the little teeter-totter and, as you can imagine, Reid has to do all the work. Cooper just puts his legs on the top and enjoy the ride.  :)  In the second picture Reid is just being his sweet silly self.  I love this Kid!!

Here's a picture of HOFIE hanging out with her Reid and Bubba.  I took this picture when Reid was going through a whole series of antics trying to help Hudson be happy.  (And he was doing that because he's a Sweetie, not because I asked him too!)  First Reid was bonking himself in the forehead and of course Bubba thought that was quite humorous!  (And so did Sophie.)  Reid said, "Hey Gary!  I made him laugh!!"  Then Reid was bouncing up and down in my chair (in picture) and saying, "Ow! My butt!  Ow!  My butt!"  (over & over)  And a couple more antics, but you get the idea.  Thank you Reid!  I love your sweet heart and how you like to help others!  Sophie was intently watching it all!
