Reid ate half of whole wheat english muffin and three servings of blueberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of turkey slices, ate whole wheat sandwich bun, green beans, and two servings of strawberries.
Reid was super sensitive this morning and had three or four meltdowns, but he recovered quickly and we were able to move on nicely. Cooper is actually pretty sensitive and didn't antagonize Reid. (With help and direction from me.) During one of Reid's "sad moments" he said to me, "You not at my party." Ohhh, I know and I hated to miss it!
Cooper and Reid were playing in the swivel-rocker and Cooper said, "I'm all dizzy." Reid said, "No you not." Uhhh...actually he might be. :) When they started playing with the chair Cooper said, "go slow" and Reid was going slow and doing a good job of listening. He kept asking Cooper, "this fast, this fast?" After Reid asked him "this fast?" several times Cooper jumped out of the chair and raced around the room several times and said, "That is fast!!" Kids are sooooo funny. Cooper wanted to show him what fast looked like!! Reid really wasn't asking what "fast" looked like - he was asking if he was pushing the chair to fast for you!! :)
We were reading the book "The bear went over the mountain" and I asked them the question, "Why did the bear go over the mountain?" "I don't know, I don't know." So I read the part very slow and deliberately about "to see what he could see." Two or three times and they were not able to pick up on an audible clue, but Cooper looked at the pictures and took a clue from those. "To get flowers for his Mom." Reid said, "Because he wanted to." :)
This is kind of a follow-up from yesterday's Blog about Reid (talking about Sophie) saying, "Him do this....Him do that..." Today I said to Sophie, "You are such a nice kid!" Reid said, "Him Girl! Not Kid!!" LOL! Well, today he got the Gender right, but the Pronoun still wrong!

Reid - 9/23/2015
Reid ate three servings of jelly toast and ate mangoes for breakfast. For lunch he didn't have a bite of beef & bean burrito, ate half of sweet potatoes, and ate pineapple. At the breakfast table Reid observed that Sophie was done and he said, "Him all done!" Well he was half right! Wrong pronoun, but correct assessment!! Ha! Later in the morning Reid was watching Sophie on the mattress and she kind of toppled over backwards onto the floor (she didn't get hurt or cry) and he roared with laughter! Reid, again using wrong pronoun, said, "Him do backflip!!" :) (I love this job!!
Also, during lunch Cooper said, "I love you Reido." It was so sincere and sweet. Reid looked at him for a moment, kept on eating (nothing can disrupt that), and gave him the "I love you" sign! Reid's been able to easily do that sign for a long time! Love these two boys!!
Reid has his John Deere tractors here and Cooper saw the "deer" logo. "Why is there a deer on this tractor?" Cooper looked at this tractor (see picture) and asked, "Why did Reid paint his tractor?" I said, "I don't know Coop, but he's a good painter!"
I've posted a couple pictures of the barricade we built this morning. The boys were calling it their "hideout." :) I also wanted to mention that we did some painting this morning and Reid chose to paint with his hands. Earlier he'd asked me if we were going to do art. I love to make that available to them when I know they want to do it!
As you can see in both pictures Sophie found her way into the "hideout!!"

Reid - 9/22/2015
Reid ate two cinnamon rolls and tasted the canned prune for breakfast. I bribed him and told him he could have a second cinnamon roll if he'd at least taste the plum. So he did and he said, "Kinda tasty!" Ha! He's so cute. For lunch he ate scrambled eggs, sausage, and hash browns combo; also ate two servings of waffle and two servings of cantaloupe.
I asked Reid, "What's Grandpa doing this morning?" He said, "Sleeping." And then he started a long story related to him sleeping and I was only understanding a few words like "tuba" and "wake him up." So I guess I'll just make up my own story!! :)
Cooper and Reid had worked hard to build this tall barricade and when I took the picture they were resting in their sanctuary. Cooper said, "We got this for blocking animals!" :)
This game in the picture has "buttons" and there is a magnet on the end of the stick Reid's holding. (There's a glass separating the buttons from the magnet) Reid was pretty excited about being able to move the buttons around. He said, "I'm doing it!!" Earlier the boys were playing with Reid's tractors and Cooper asked me; "What's Reid's tractor made out of?" So I asked him the same question; "What do you think it's made of?" He thought about it for several seconds and asked, "Plastic?" Yup!

Reid - 9/21/2015
Reid ate several bites of kix cereal and two servings of mixed fruit for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of everything: ham sandwich, peas, and mandarin oranges. At breakfast the sun was shining and it was bright in the lunch room. Then two or three times it was behind a cloud and Cooper and Reid kept saying, "We're getting dark in here!! We're getting dark in here!!" :)
I frequently tease Reid and ask, "Why did your Mom and Dad name you Slick?" He always gives me the same answer with his big grin: "No, they name me Reid! You name me Slick!!" :)
We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and Reid played a long time with the barns and animals. Reid also brought some of his tractors - geez I wonder where he got that idea from? :) As you can see from the picture below Cooper and Reid had the barn full of animals and tractors and I mean full. I guess they need another barn. (Actually there are three barns, but they used this one.)
The boys had fun running, jumping, and sliding. Cooper said, "Reid! I slipped!!" (He had intentionally fell down.) So of course Reid had to do it too. "Coop! I slipped!" They played hard like that for a long time and Cooper's head was totally wet! Reid noticed it (I hadn't said anything about the sweat) and said, "He sweaty, he sweaty!!"
I took this picture shortly before Lunch and they were getting tired and laying on the floor. They each had a phone and Cooper kept trying to get further under Reid's blue blanket! He rearranged himself so at least his legs were mostly covered!

Reid - 9/18/2015
Reid had bites of brown rice and ate raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate meat loaf, flat bread, carrots, and two servings of apricots. At lunch time Cooper announced "Last night I was watching Super Heroes!" Reid (genuinely impressed) said, "Wow." :)
Here's a picture of the boys playing with the cars, trucks, and tractors this morning. I wonder how many of these same pictures I've posted!? It's obviously one of their favorite activities! Cooper had a car and helicopter that Reid had been playing with and he said, "I sneaked his stuff from him!" Yes, well I think he just heard you announce it! :)
I have a couple of notes from yesterday during outside play. Cooper, Kenzie, and Reid found a large mushroom growing in the yard. (I don't like the kids touching the mushrooms and putting fingers in their mouth so I keep a pretty close eye on that.) They weren't touching them, but just looking as I was walking over and Cooper said, "Maybe it's a dinosaur egg!?!" :)
Then Cooper was wanting Reid to give him a ride in the wagon. He kept yelling for Reid like this; "Reid, Reido, Reid....!!!...will you pull me?!? Reid, Reido, Reid..... :)
Sometimes I'll have Reid fetch me something off the changing table and it's awesome because he can reach anything on the table without standing on something. :) This morning in the middle of me feeding Baby Hudson the kitchen timer was ringing (reminding me to turn on the oven for the meat loaf) and I asked Reid to grab it for me. Thanks for your help Reid. :)

Reid - 9/17/2015
Reid arrived at Little Treasures about 10:30 so his Blog will probably be a little shorter today. For lunch he ate chicken, dinner roll, couple bites of hash browns, and ate canned cherries. Reid knows I like him to try at least a taste of everything so if it's something he doesn't think he'll like he makes sure he has my attention before taking a bite. Today, before trying the hash browns he said, "Me take bite Gary!" :)
Reid was super impressed with all the things Cooper had brought from home, but his favorite is the rescue helicopter. In this first picture (the helicopter is lying at the bottom right - not the favorite at this moment!!) Cooper and Reid had quite the pile of tractors, cars, trucks, and other equipment piled at the bottom of the ramp! Cooper said, "Reid! You have to watch this!!" By the way, the car Cooper has is Reid's, so they were sharing toys very nicely!
This next picture is titled "Search for Golden Teeth." As I mentioned in a previous Blog after Reid got his tooth capped he has been very interested in seeing my "Golden Teeth!" This morning he said, "You have three golden teeth and I have one!" Cooper insisted he also had golden teeth and told Reid, "They're in the back!" and Cooper was showing off his teeth. So Reid was searching for the elusive golden teeth. Cooper was insistent when Reid simply and calmly said, "no." Cooper said, "They're WAY in the back!!" Again the answer was a calm "no." Ha ha! Love these boys!!

Reid - 9/11/2015
Reid ate brown rice and raisins for breakfast. While he was eating his rice I said, "You're doing a good job of keeping your head over your plate." Reid said, "That not a plate! That a bowl!!" Yup, you're right again Reid! :) For lunch he ate hash brown casserole, biscuit, and mandarin oranges.
This morning Cooper asked Reid, "Reid-o! You wanna do a piggyback ride on me!?!" Ha ha! Of course Reid wanted to do that!! I said to Cooper, "Piggyback ride - show me what that looks like." So Reid got on top of him and Cooper actually walked on his hands and knees before going flat as a pancake! Cooper said, "That's what it looks like!" Ha ha! Wow! Good job Coop!! (I had a picture of it, but I didn't really like the way it looked and I decided I wouldn't freak-out Casey and TJ!) :)
Cooper crawled up on the couch and hung his legs off the edge like in the photo below. He said, "I have to get some rest right here!!" (He and Reid stayed busy and working pretty hard all morning!) Reid said, "I have to get some rest too." And you can look at the picture below to see the comfortable position Reid assumed!
We were singing songs and I asked them about their "favorite song." Reid gave it several seconds of thought and said, "Fairy Tale." (With a big grin on his face.) So I asked him to sing it to me and he started trying to sing something! So cute! Then I asked him again, and he thought some more and said, "Take me out to the ballgame!" I was impressed!

Reid - 9/10/2015
Reid ate two servings of breakfast: cinnamon toast and cantaloupe. For lunch he ate turkey slices, no bun, ate green beans, and mangoes.
I want to give everyone a heads-up about the Blogs starting tomorrow. Baby Hudson Boyle is starting full-time tomorrow and whenever a Baby starts it can affect when the Blogs are posted. (At least until they get settled into a routine.) So if it's not there when you expect it, keep checking back and I'll try to have them posted around normal time, but no later than 3:00. Although I don't expect it to happen, just know if the Blog is not there by 3:00 then it will not be happening that day!
There is a cute story behind this picture, but look at Cooper's face. Having some Fun!! Reid is sitting in the chair ("hiding") and Cooper kept running across the room to "find" him. As he went running by Cooper said, "We're playing hide-n-seek!" Ha ha! Toddler version of Hide-n-Seek always cracks me up!
Cooper and Reid were building with the blocks again and Cooper said, "We're building a tractor." Then Reid said, "We're building a combine!" :) Geez, I wonder where Reid learned that word? Then Cooper said, "I'm building a combine with tracks." (I don't think too many kids his age would have a clue what that means.)
Like I've mentioned before after Reid got a cap on his tooth he has been very interested in looking at my crowns. He frequently asks me, "Where your golden tooth?" Well this morning Cooper asked, "Do I have golden teeth!?" :)
Yesterday Reid was saying, "Do Tate, do Tate!" It took me some time to figure out what he meant by that! He was pointing at the calendar in the Daycare Room. (You can look at the Calendar to get the full benefit of this story!!) It has Baby Animal pictures on each month and this month it's a Baby Rhino. According to Reid that is "Bode." So I turned the page forward - no that wash't right. I turned it back to August and that was "Tate!" Ha ha ha! Guess what Baby Animal. Hmmm...if you guessed Baby Orangutan (I think I spelled that right!) you were right!! Hee hee!

Reid - 9/9/2015
Reid ate cereal and grapes at 7:00 with Bode and Tate. For the 9:00 breakfast (ha ha) he ate whole wheat toast and mixed berries. For lunch he ate ham, no crackers, ate bean & bacon soup, and two servings of strawberries.
Elliott and his Mommy stopped by this morning to say "hi" and pick up Elliott's blanket. It was so cute when Cooper saw Elliott. He ran across the room and gave him the biggest hug and then totally cooperated when I asked if he'd do it again for the camera! Reid came over and said "hi" to him as well. Elliott was slightly confused - he sat down and started taking off his shoes and wanted his milk cup! He always loved his routines and that was the first thing he did every day when he arrived!!
Reid played hard this morning and was tired by 10:00, but Cooper was still wanting him to play. Cooper kept sticking a "numbers" book in Reid's face and asking, "What number do you like Reid? What number do you like Reid?" Uhhh...he doesn't seem to like any numbers right now Cooper. :)
Reid and Cooper were using the blocks to make a "cow" and then it became the "booby-trap cow." I'm posting a picture of what a "booby-trap cow" looks like so you can avoid one! (By the time I took this picture Reid was pretty tired of building the "booby-trap cow" and apparently was letting Cooper do the finishing touches! :)
The boys worked on the puzzles and Reid was the one who asked for that activity. They were talking and I heard Reid telling Cooper about his birthday and he said, "Birthday....you be at my house.... birthday September." So then Reid asked Cooper about his Birthday and Cooper said, "at 8:00." They also played with the food toys and Reid was bringing me soup - "here's tomato soup; more tomato soup." Now the funny part about that is the fact that he won't even try tomato soup!! (Not yet at Daycare anyhow) Daddy TJ and I were just talking about it yesterday and Daddy got Reid to have a taste of tomato juice. That's a first for here!! Good job Reid! (And Daddy)

Reid - 9/8/2015
Reid ate half of his whole wheat bagel and two servings of apricots for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, three large servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce.
At the breakfast table I asked the question; What'd you guys do this weekend? Then I sit and listen and it kind of went like this. Reid said, "Our Dad killed a BIG monster!" And I loved Cooper's response! "Was it in your room!?!" Ha ha ha! Then Cooper asked, "Was it a dinosaur?" :) Then Cooper said, "Dinosaurs live in the museum." Later Cooper added, "I like Dino Dan! I watched Dino Dan!"
Reid and Cooper were doing lots of crazy jumping off the climber and Reid said, "Me did face plant!!" So Cooper had to do the same! "I did face plant too!!" (Like that's a good thing!!) :)
We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and the kids had lots of fun with everything. Cooper was thrilled to play with the trucks and cars and immediately asked for the "ramps." So him and I went to the back room and got the "ramps." I took a picture, but you can't see the "ramp" so that doesn't help much. (Well I guess Reid is playing at the ramp.) Actually, it took me quite awhile to figure out what he was even asking for! There are two of those toys, but the boys were having fun playing on the same one.
I was helping Reid wash his hands after breakfast and he looked at my mouth and said, "Where your golden tooth!?" Ha ha! He likes to look at my crowns!! Then he said, "Me have one golden tooth; you have two!" (Actually there are at least five in there Reid!)

Reid - 9/4/2015
Reid ate half of malt-o-meal cereal and two servings of raisins for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef, three servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, three servings of apple slices, and ate mixed fruit.
I'm starting with some pictures and notes from yesterday afternoon. Two reasons; There were some funny things from yesterday (with Kenzie) that I want to post and secondly, I have a new baby here this morning and I didn't get too many notes jotted down from today!! The boys played with the blocks a lot, just like in the pictures, but not as "elaborate!" :) Cooper was still sleeping when I took this first picture. Kenzie was showing Reid how to put "windows" in their block fort. (I'm sure you already spotted Kenzie in the lower right-hand corner of the picture.)
We had grapes and rice cakes for snack yesterday and Kenzie was eating a LOT and trying to keep pace with Reid! Right before she left the table (with Reid still eating) she said, "My Gosh that Kid eats a lot!! LOL It was SO stinking cute what she said, but more the way she said it!! I roared!! This next note has nothing to do with Reid, but thought you might like it anyhow! Kenzie was watching me change a HUGE poopy diaper. (Sophie) She said, "That's disgusting!" And then she said (totally serious), "Where's Missy?!? This is one for Missy to clean up!!" Ha ha!! I agree!
This contraption that Kenzie helped the Reid and Cooper build started out as a "dinosaur." Then Kenzie said it was a "Train that Flies!" Cooper said (VERY seriously), "Trains don't fly!" Kenzie's response, "Well this one does!!" (Kenzie is in this picture, but you'll have to zoom in to find her! She's right behind Reid.) When I took the picture they were camping out on "dinosaur island."
Here's a picture of Cooper and Reid getting acquainted with the new baby, Sophie's cousin, Hudson Boyle. Cooper was thrilled when Hudson kept grinning at him! "I make him laugh!" Cooper said.
Sophie was sitting on the step (in the picture) and then standing up and taking a couple of steps. So I grabbed the camera and had her sit there and was trying to coax her into doing it again! Well that wasn't working, but Cooper and Reid immediately came over, sat down and Reid started saying, "Me wanna walk, me wanna walk!" Ha ha! So Reid started walking to me and I'm not sure exactly what Cooper was doing, but Sophie's body language says, "leave me alone!" :)

Kenzie's response, "Well this one does!!" (Kenzie is in this picture, but you'll have to zoom in to find her!

Reid - 9/3/2015
Reid ate whole wheat english muffin and two servings of blueberries for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, crackers, sweet potatoes (way to go Reid!), and two servings of canned cherries. Reid and Cooper started being silly at lunch and chanting the same thing they were yesterday; "I want more macaroni..bread..bun..Gary...apples!" (Reid is the one who was saying, "I want more Gary.")
I was doing Sophie's hair this morning and I said (talking to myself while deciding on a color for her ponytail), "How about we do white?" Cooper said, "How about we do green?" Reid said, "Blue." Cooper said, "Green's my color." Reid said, "Blue." (Uhhh, Reid a man of few words! Ha!)
I love it when the kids read together and read to each other. So cute. We read lots of Special books today, sang songs, and did art. Speaking of singing this is not about Reid, but you'll probably like it anyhow. I was singing and Cooper said, "Hey Gary; Stop singing! I'm trying to read a book!" Ha ha! We also did some sign language and shapes. Reid totally impressed me this morning. We haven't done the shapes for several days, but I held up a shape and he nailed it! "Trap-a-oid" (Trapezoid) Have you guys been doing these at home?
Cooper and Reid piled the blocks and stuffed animals in a big pile and called it their "garbage pile." They played on here for several minutes and Cooper never quit talking. "This is our garbage pile; it's rumbling." (That's what Cooper called it when the blocks were moving around. Nice word Cooper.) "It's our garbage; this is our garbage stuff!" He kept talking and Reid kept playing. :) They were playing hard and running too and Reid said, "Feel my neck; it's sweaty!" Yup you're right!! :)

Reid - 9/2/2015
Reid ate biscuit and three servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate half of baked beans, couple bites of bun, ate peas, and pineapple. At the lunch table Cooper and Reid were being silly and saying, "I want more.....peaches." (and they'd laugh, then it was the other person's turn). "I want more.....bananas." (laugh) On and on. "Carrots, macaroni, apples....." Then they were making up silly words. Really cute.
Cooper was standing on his head (a favorite activity these days) leaning against the back of the couch with his feet on the wall. So Reid tried it and ended up with his head on the floor. Cooper said, "No! That's not how you do it." I guess it looked like fun because Cooper soon joined him and had his head on the floor. Then Reid grabbed Cooper's leg and started hoisting him back onto the couch! Ha!! It was all quite entertaining!
Reid had fun Finger Painting at Art Time and we read lots of books as well. I wanted to include this picture of a typical little boy playing with his weapon. :) He held this up this invention in the air, made some shooting sounds, and said, "This my cannon!"
Reid and I still do the same ritual every day at Nap Time. I tell him, "Mommy said not to sleep at Gary's house!" He gets the cutest twinkle in his eyes and snickers. Lately I've been asking him, "Why'd your Mom and Dad name you Slick!?" He says, "Noooo! My Mom and Dad name me Reid! You name me Slick!!" Ha ha!
